Learning is everywhere.

This line in Jonathan Martin’s latest post on Connected Principals really resounded with me. As administrators, we need to be the lead learners in our organizations. Period. In the spirit of Bill Ferriter, slidemaster, I created this visual to share. Go out and learn something today. And then tell someone else about it.

  1. Lyn,

We are born and built as learners. We should see every action as an opportunity and process of learning. Yesterday, I explored some ideas I have about placed-based learning at our 180-acre-campus school by just getting on a subway train with my 4 year old son and an iPhone. We explored and chronicled our Atlanta adventure. I shared with posterous and auto-post to twitter. Used #FSBL (father-son based learning) on all but the very first posterous and tweet. Thanks for the prompt! Now I have all kinds of ideas about how students at Westminster could explore our campus for possible projects – Nancy creek history-science-math possibilities are just one such idea. To wipe our lenses so that we can see things as learnings is so powerful.
